This year, in celebration of National Pita Day, Pita Jungle will host a weekend-long celebration on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29. Guests can enjoy their favorite pita dishes while supporting a good cause. This annual fundraiser benefits Arizona non-profit Waste Not, whose mission is to create sustainable food systems that help both people and the planet flourish.
For more than 36 years, Waste Not has been reimagining and reinventing the food rescue process in Arizona by bridging the gap between food waste and hunger. A team of drivers and volunteers collects fresh food from local food businesses that would have gone to waste and delivers it that same day to nonprofits that provide critical community services.
