Wednesdays in January, Desert Botanical Garden invites children ages 3-5 and their caretakers to experience the wonder of nature through hands-on lessons that teach kids and adults how to splash, dig, climb and explore together through nature play concepts.

Each week from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28, the program will feature a new theme and new activities. Every Seedlings class includes songs, hands-on activities and learning materials for caretakers to continue exploring in nature together. The program will be hosted in the Cactus Clubhouse, located in the Weisz Learning Center. The classroom space includes an indoor and outdoor area. Following the program, participants are welcome to play in the Cactus Clubhouse for another hour.

Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early and wear comfortable clothing they don’t mind getting dirty – the activities can be muddy, messy and wet.

The cost is $9.95 for members or $14.95, general admission. Admission to this experience includes full access to “FRAMERATE: Desert Pulse.”

Desert Botanical Garden is located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway in Phoenix. For additional information, call 480-941-1225 or visit www.dbg.org.
