Local teams including the Phoenix LGBTQ Employee Alliance in partnership with the Phoenix Fast-Track Cities Initiative and the Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce (GPECC) are asking for the community’s help in combating HIV/AIDS by participating as a runner, walker or sponsor as they participate in the Aunt Rita’s Foundation AIDS Walk Arizona..

This year’s AIDS Walk will be held Saturday, March 22, 8 a.m., at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Road.

Since 1988, the Aunt Rita’s Foundation has been raising money to provide funding for programs at Phoenix-area hospitals, clinics and nonprofit organizations focused on preventing, treating, raising awareness about and eliminating stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. The Aunt Rita’s AIDS Walk Arizona provides a fun way to support these efforts.
