PetSmart Charities is teaming up with two local adoption partners to host the “ABC15 and PetSmart Charities Adopt-A-Pet Weekend” on Saturday, Aug.3 and Sunday, Aug. 4.

Adoption fees will be reduced during the two-day event at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope Shelter, 9226 N. 13th Ave. (602-997-7585), and the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA, 25 N. 40th St. (602-273-6852). Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

Puppies under one year are $50; kittens under 6 months are $50; adult dogs are $25; and cats 6 months or older are priceless (waived adoption fees). All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

New pet parents and their furry friends are encouraged to flash their best smiles and join the conversation by using the hashtag #adoptlove.
