The Area Agency on Aging, Region One is seeking volunteers to advocate for residents of long-term care facilities in Maricopa County.

The Arizona long-term care Ombudsman program provides advocacy and assistance to residents of assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Ombudsman volunteers help to ensure that the best possible quality of life and care is attained by protecting the rights of residents in long term care. An initial comprehensive and in-field training, as well as eight hours of continued training are provided.
