Flower Child is the latest brain child of the Fox Restaurant Concepts group. It caters to those who are both localvores as well as diners who prefer their food raised and harvested in Earth-friendly, sustainable ways.

Local sourcing is a priority for this vegetarian-friendly restaurant, but meat eaters will also find selections from ranchers who respect and care for their animals. Protein selections include grass-fed steak, all natural chicken, sustainable salmon and organic tofu.

The menu includes a vegetable and a protein “soup of the day,” as well as a variety of salads, vegetable and grain plates, whole grain wraps and hot pots. There’s not much of a bar but you can have a glass of wine or beer if you are in the mood.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 5013 N. 44th St., Suite B2025. For more information, call 602-429-6222 or visit http://iamaflowerchild.com.
