The Let’s Roll Foundation, a nonprofit organization that was developed to assist veterans with their car care, has announced that its second-annual Car Care for Vets Event will be held 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at North Mountain Car Company, located 10029 N. Caver Creek Road.

Big B’s Family Automotive is coordinating the event as well as providing free oil changes and multi-point vehicle inspections for those with military IDs. Baxter’s Cigars will be onsite handing out cigars; CC’s Mesquite Broiler will dish out free breakfast burritos; and Classic Crust Pizza will provide pizzas for lunch. Many other local businesses will be donating items to provide a fun and entertaining day.

In addition to automotive care, there will be entertainment courtesy of a DJ and artist and Vietnam vet Jim Covarrubias, who specializes in military-themed artwork, will be at the site creating paintings.

The Let’s Roll Foundation was started in 2015 by Brandon Wells, owner of Big B’s Family Automotive, to provide a way to thank veterans and military personnel for their service. Big B’s regularly offers a 10-percent discount to those who show a military ID.

“We are very excited to host the second-annual Car Care for Vets event this year,” said Wells. “Last year we were able to provide over 75 oil changes and multi-point checks. And we’re hoping that this year, we will be able to service even more. This is just our way of giving back to those that put their lives on the line for us and made it back home to their families.

“We hope that the Let’s Roll Foundation can provide more events throughout the year to honor members of the military.”

In order to reduce wait time, Wells suggests calling in advance to schedule a service time. Call 602-997-1040.
