North Central resident Mary Anne Webb was one of two Valley women recently named a “Woman of the Year” by the Phoenix council of Beta Sigma Phi, an international women’s social, cultural, and service organization.
The Xi Alpha Chi chapter recognized Webb, the chapter’s 2016-17 president, at its Founder’s Day Luncheon last month for distinguishing herself through outstanding contributions to the sorority and community.
Webb has been a member of Xi Alpha Chi for five years and has served on the Executive Board for most of those years. “Mary Anne’s positive attitude, leadership skills, and heart-felt generosity extend to everyone inside and outside Xi Alpha Chi,” said Barbara Renner, the Xi Alpha Chi chapter secretary.
