Anyone who loves children and wants to give back to the community might find a good fit volunteering with the New Song Center for Grieving Children, a Hospice of the Valley program.

The program provides grief support groups for children and their families after a significant person in a child’s life has died. Volunteers offer their caring hearts, open ears and playful spirits to support groups and assist families while they attempt to navigate their new world. There is no cost to attend the support groups and they are provided at six locations around the Valley including at Hospice of the Valley’s offices at 1510 E. Flower St.

Volunteer trainings will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21; from 5:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24; from 5:30-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Hospice of the Valley offices on Flower Street.
