All Saints’ Episcopal Church at 6300 N. Central Ave. hosts a short program on mindful eating on Thursday evenings, Oct. 26, and Nov. 2, 9, and 16 from 7-8:30 p.m. It will be facilitated by a licensed social worker and you will learn about the seven types of hunger (only one of which involves your stomach), conditioned responses that lead you to eat when you’re not hungry, cooking and sharing food as a sacred activity, and techniques to improve your ability to ask why you want to eat and what your body really needs.

The program costs $15 and you will also receive a thumb drive with audio meditations to strengthen your new behaviors and handouts to support learning. Contact Health Ministries Coordinator Patrice Al-Shatti, LMSW, at palshatti@allsaints.org to RSVP for the series and for more information.
