In order to protect patients, visitors, physicians and other employees, amid the Coronavirus pandemic, Dignity Health in Arizona is restricting visitation to its hospitals.

Only one adult visitor will be allowed to see each patient in the emergency department, labor and delivery, as well as nursery ICU, trauma unit, transplant (for specific circumstances) and those receiving end-of-life care. All visitors will be screened for potential health issues.

Dignity Health in Arizona is closely keeping track of the evolving COVID-19 issue and is continually adjusting its practices as needed.

If you or a family member has mild COVID-19 symptoms including low-grade fever, cough or trouble breathing, you may speak to a healthcare provider on the phone or other device for free. Dignity Health offers instructions on how to access a virtual medical visit at dignityhealth.org/coronavirus-disease-2019. Once you register on that site, enter the code COVID19 to waive the fees and go ahead with your free visit.

Dignity Health has many locations in the state including St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center at 350 W. Thomas Road. For other locations, visit dignityhealth.org/Arizona.
