New visitor restrictions are in place at HonorHealth’s John C. Lincoln medical centers and other locations out of an abundance of caution due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
No visitors will be allowed in the Emergency Department or in the inpatient hospital rooms, as of the latest measures aimed at protecting visitors, patients and employees. Only one parent will be permitted in the NICU/Pediatric areas. No children will be allowed in those areas. The parent will be evaluated and given a badge. One visitor will be allowed per patient in Labor and Delivery and that visitor also will be screened and provided a badge. No visitors will be able to access the Antepatrum areas.

Dr. Stephanie Jackson, senior vice president, chief clinical value officer, HonorHealth, urged people to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines that include avoiding being in any groups or social gatherings of 10 or more people. If you have a fever over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as a cough and shortness of breath, you are urged to call the HonorHealth nurse line at 480-587-6200. If you are experiencing a life-threatening injury or other emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room, Jackson said.
