Local entrepreneur, Heidi Koffman, and working mom, Jen Racer, have launched Craft Nights by The Hippie Hobby, 10832 N. 32nd St.

With a love of all things hippie, modern, retro, and crafting, Craft Nights encourages creativity for people of all ages. The BYOB (beer and wine), DIY arts and crafts studio focuses on event-based craft nights while bringing people together. With a soft launch in late February, the doors are now open, with a full calendar of events beginning this month.

Craft Nights was created out of the want and need for a little time to unwind for individuals needing to relax and get together with friends. What began as a small group of friends getting together for a night of wine, a potluck, and crafting, became much more when Heidi and Jen realized they needed a dedicated studio capable of hosting more crafters than their homes.

Some of the popular Craft Nights offered are String Art, Wood Sign Making, and Paint Nights. Craft Nights by The Hippie Hobby is available for corporate team building on top of their BYOB craft nights for adults and friendship-building summer camp for kids.

An instructor guides all classes with no prior crafting experience necessary. Open studio occurs the second Thursday of every month from 6-9 p.m., with crafts starting at $25 and ranging up to $50. Kidz Krafternoon occurs the third Monday of every month from 3-6 p.m. on a drop-in basis with crafts starting at $15 for kids. Ladies’ Night is a pop up event, typically the last Wednesday of the month from 6-8 p.m. for $25 (tickets are required).

Visit www.craftnights.com to choose your class and purchase tickets online. Use the coupon code Grand10 for $10 off any craft night in April.
