Mark your calendars and plan to bring your furry friends to the Shemer Art Center Saturday, Sept. 15, for a fun, animal-themed art festival perfect for the entire family.

The Furry Friends Fine Arts Festival, which runs from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., will feature a variety of amazing Arizona artists showcasing animal-themed works of art, plus neighborhood businesses and pet adoptions by the Arizona Humane Society. There will be paw readings, pet performances, live music, and food & beverage vendors including Black Cat Coffee House and Short Leash Hot Dogs.

Children will enjoy free art activities, and your furkids will enjoy the free treats available at many of the vendor booths. Don’t forget to pick up some raffle tickets for works from great local artists.

Admission is $5 per person, $10 per family (furry friends are free). All funds raised support the nonprofit Shemer Art Center and its visual art education programs and community outreach efforts. For more information, visit www.shemerartcenter.org.
