North Central Phoenix-based The Bridge to Hope is one of just 20 ministries chosen to be part of Impact AZ, a granting program of Mission Increase Arizona.

Impact AZ aims to motivate donors to take advantage of Arizona’s generous tax credit program. which allows taxpayers to direct their tax dollars to causes they would like to support. Donors receive a dollar-for-dollar credit toward state taxes: $400 maximum for individuals and $800 maximum for married couples.

The Bridge to Hope is eligible to receive one of six grants based on the number of tax credit donations it receives before the 2017 tax filing cutoff date of April 15, 2018.

“This is a unique situation in that individuals who direct their dollar-for-dollar tax credit donations to The Bridge to Hope this year not only are helping this ministry potentially win a huge grant through Impact AZ, but at the same time will help propel the work and mission of our ministry forward, which is to end homelessness one family at a time,” said Jane Kilburn, The Bridge to Hope spokesperson.

Six total grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 will be awarded to organizations that maximize the number of donors giving to the tax credit program, and that show the greatest percentage growth in the number of donors giving tax credit gifts.
