The Phoenix Public Works Department each year offers residents a green way to dispose of their Christmas trees and wreaths. Single trees or wreaths may be dropped off for recycling at any participating Phoenix park anytime between Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, and Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020.

Christmas tree drop-off locations in and near North Central Phoenix include Mountain View Park, Washington Park, Madison Park, Los Olivos Park and the 27th Avenue Transfer Station.

Trees also may be dropped off at A to Z Equipment Rental & Sales during the same time period, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (except December 31, when the facility closes at noon). Residents also can take their trees to the “I Recycle Phoenix” festival from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Christown-Spectrum Mall, 1703 W. Bethany Home Road.

Container-grown living trees may be donated for planting in city of Phoenix parks. Parks will only accept 15 gallon-sized or 24″ box-sized trees. They can be delivered to a nearby maintenance facility to be planted in a local park.

Contact Phoenix customer service at 602-262-6251 or email cityservicesbill@phoenix.gov for details.

Madison Meadows and Madison Simis Dads Clubs also will pick up Christmas trees throughout the neighborhoods. Call the club and a member will pick your tree. Typically the Dads Club collects about 80 to 100 trees.

Call Scott Isham, Madison Meadows Dads Club past co-chairman, at 602-549-2969 for tree pick up.
