Hospice of the Valley’s Speaker’s Bureau is a resource to help people in the community.

It offers educational presentations to community organizations, service clubs, as well as civic and faith groups, businesses, schools, senior centers, retirement communities and homeowners associations. There is no cost for the talks and the topics are appropriate for all audiences.

Among the subjects the members of the speaker’s bureau cover are dispelling myths about hospice and palliative care; living with chronic disease, dementia care, healthcare decisions including living wills, understanding grief/mourning, how to talk to doctors, care for caregivers and a special program called Saluting our Veterans and Honoring First Responders. Speakers also provide talks on Ryan House and New Song Center for Grieving Children.

To schedule a community presentation, call Marsha Kabat at 602-636-6376 or email her at mkabat@hov.org. Hospice of the Valley is based at 1510 E. Flower St. To learn more about its programs and services, call 602-530-6900 or visit hov.org.
