Children and teens around the state can learn about opioid abuse and design posters to help raise awareness of the problem through the OpiEnd Youth Challenge poster contest, which is aimed at increasing awareness about opioid misuse and prevention of opioid abuse. Students ages 9 to 14 years old are invited to design a poster to help boost awareness of the issue for a chance to win prizes.

Entries will be judged at the state and national levels, with monetary prizes for the winners’ schools or clubs and a savings bond for the winning student applicant. The school or nonprofit organization that helped the Arizona winner enter the competition will receive a $1,000 prize. The national winner will receive $5,000.

The deadline to enter is Sept. 20. For more details, visit www.opiendyouthchallenge.com.
