The Children’s Museum of Phoenix hosts an entire weekend of beach-filled fun at its inaugural SandFest, set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 13-14.

On Saturday, visitors will enjoy free outside sand fun all day, as well as music, food trucks, hands-on activities, a sandcastle-building competition, and a watching professionals build a one-of-a-kind sand sculpture.

The sand fun continues on Sunday, with photo opportunities with the completed sand sculpture, and playing in the outdoor sand pit. In addition, grandparents and their grandkids can work together inside to create a special project; admission is free for grandparents attending with a grandchild, Sunday only.

If you want to head inside the museum on either day, the cost is discounted to just $11.95 per adult/child age 1 and older (a savings of $3). The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is located at 215 N. 7th St. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/2EYohST.
