Up With People camp returns June 17-21

Up with People Jr., a performing arts summer camp for children ages 8-12, will be offered in Phoenix this month at All Saints Episcopal Day School, 6300 N. Central Ave.

The one-week, co-ed, day camp, affiliated with the international group Up With People, will take place 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., June 17-21. The cost is $225 (if an attendee invites a friend, both receive $25 off the tuition price).

Through a unique combination of education, community service, the performing arts and summer camp fun, campers gain a sense of social responsibility, global awareness, confidence and purpose and the experience of and appreciation for working cooperatively as part of a diverse group.

The camp session ends with campers presenting a professionally produced high-energy public performance, showcasing their talents, cultures and hopes for the world.
