Business owners and those who are striving to be entrepreneurs or just looking for tips on how to succeed in the workplace might want to check out the Mind Your Business Book Club.

The club’s next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, at Changing Hands Bookstore Phoenix at 300 W. Camelback Road. Participants will discuss the book “The Hard Thing about Hard Things” by Ben Horowitz. This book gives advice on building and running start-ups including managing the most challenging problems.

Horowitz, co-founder of Andreessen Horowitz and a respected Silicon Valley entrepreneur, writes about how hard it is to operate a business and shares insight he has learned developing, managing, selling, buying, investing in and supervising technology companies.

The Mind Your Business Book Club is open to anyone who is interesting in attending. Those who come to meetings work in big businesses, own their own businesses or aspire to start their own companies. It is free to come and no RSVP is required but you should bring the book with you. Javelina, a company based at 800 N. 1st Ave. that offers marketing and advocacy strategies, sponsors the book club.
