The Arizona Humane Society is looking for help in acquiring the protective gowns it needs for personnel who work in its hospital and emergency services.

AHS is facing a shortage of isolation gowns for its Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital and intensive care units, including the Bottle Baby Kitten ICU, Parvo Puppy ICU, Mutternity Suites and more, because these gowns have been allocated for human use only. In addition, AHS’ emergency animal technicians and animal cruelty investigators are running short of Tyvek suits used in hoarding cases and COVID-19 exposed households.

Members of the public can help supply these critical items by purchasing them for donation on the AHS Amazon Wish List at www.azhumane.org/ppegowns. Add the AHS address to your personal shopping list (9226 N. 13th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85021, phone 602.997.7585).

On average, AHS uses 950 disposable gowns per week for the nearly 18,000 sick, injured and abused homeless pets AHS takes in each year.
