Roxy is an adorable, eight-year-old American pit bull terrier mix surrendered to the Arizona Humane Society in July.

Her previous owner was no longer able to care for her and did not have the time to provide her with the best life possible. The Arizona Humane Society quickly discovered Roxy suffered from allergies and obesity, as well as had a few masses on her body. Her medical needs can be addressed with an appropriate plan from her future veterinarian and family.

Everyone who knows Roxy describes this unusual beauty as a sweetheart, who is smart and knows all her basic commands. She also is potty-trained. Roxy could use a little more exercise than she is accustomed to experiencing but she loves snuggling on the couch. She also has lived with other dogs in her previous home but it is recommended she meet all potential new family members to ensure she will fit in well.

While all Arizona Humane Society Adoption locations are temporarily closed you can access the organization’s Virtual Adoption Matchmaking Program by appointment. Roxy’s pet number is 641064.

While Roxy might have been adopted by the time you make an appointment through the matchmaking program, the Arizona Humane Society has dozens more pets who also need loving homes. To see all animals available for adoption right now, visit azhumane.org/findapet.
