The Coronavirus is hurting local restaurants and bars that may no longer serve guests inside their buildings, causing many to struggle to generate cash flow.

Find and support them by ordering takeout/curbside pickup and delivered food by accessing a new Takeout COVID site that lists restaurants and bars in Phoenix that are still selling food, wine, beer and cocktails for takeout and delivery. The site, coastapp.com/takeoutcovid/phx, has more than 800 restaurants and bars signed up and listed as of late April, including nearly 200 in central Phoenix.

Many of the restaurants along Seventh Street and those in the Central and Camelback area are listed, along with several on Central Avenue and Seventh Avenue. The site includes a map that shows the locations of the restaurants and whether they are offering takeout, delivery, or both. You also can filter choices for food, wine, beer, cocktails, meal kits, and delivery. On the map, you can click on your choice to see a brief description, the kind of service available, a phone number, and links to menus and ordering.

Some restaurants have said their online ordering has seen a small increase after being listed on the site. For those who are not yet listed, the site offers an option to submit restaurant details. The service is free both to diners and restaurants.
