Teenagers looking for a way to learn about possible healthcare careers may apply for Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital’s summer volunteer program.

Completed applications are due by Friday, March 20. Student volunteers will work a minimum of one, four-hour shift for eight out of the 10 weeks available from May 26 to August 2 at the hospital at 1930 E. Thomas Road. These volunteers will receive orientation and training to work in the hospital setting, gaining valuable experience for possible future healthcare careers. They will help escort patients, do clerical work, make deliveries, maintain inventories and perform other tasks as assigned. Teens must be at least 14 years old and in high school by May 26 in order to qualify for the program.

Pick up a volunteer application packet at the Concierge Desk at Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital. To learn more, contact Norma Morales at 623-561-7232 or nmorales@abrazohealth.com or Patricia Martinez at 623-561-7232 or patricia.martinez@abrazohealth.com.
