Artists 25 years old or younger in Arizona can channel their creative energy from the comfort of home as part of the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library’s Creative Art Showcase.

Children ages 5 and younger can pick from various images posted at azirish.org/creative-art-showcase to color with crayon, coloring pencils, paint, markers or other tools. Kids ages 6 to 10 can create artwork to represent the theme “My Family” using drawings, paintings, lollipop sticks, paper mache, chalk, clay and other materials. Those ages 11 to 15 can create art pieces with the theme “Irish Legends,” including family portraits, family trees, pictures of best friends and illustrations of memories, among other ideas.

Artists ages 16 to 25 can enter in the “Irish landmarks” category, creating pieces of notable locations significant to Irish culture.

To enter, take a photo of your artwork and email it to artshowcase@azirish.org. The deadline is Sept. 12. Artists under age 18 must have their parent’s permission to enter the showcase. To learn more, visit azirish.org/creative-art-showcase.
