It is never too early to help your child learn to swim and a local business offers a fun, safe environment to do just that.

Hubbard Family Swim School at 13832 N. 32nd St., Suite 100, offers lessons to children from eight weeks to 12 years old. Its free Baby Splash classes provide lessons to babies eight weeks to five months old. Parents must participate in the water with their little ones. The classes are provided Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays and Sundays at various times and are free of charge but there is a one-time, $30 fee to join. Parents must register their babies ahead of time.

Hubbard Family Swim Schools has three other locations in the Valley with instructors who teach basic water competency swim skills. One instructor, Ed McHale, recently celebrated 20 years working for the school and in 2018 won the prestigious “Educator of the Year” award from the United States Swim School Association. This honor is given to one swim instructor each year out of more than 400 member swim schools around the world.
