You can explore artwork at home with your children in a variety of ways through the Heard Museum.

Check out the Heard@Home online, where you can view artworks five artists created in the “Larger Than Memory” exhibition via a family guide. Every section is based on one artist and includes a hands-on activity. A chart organizes activities to correspond with recommended grade levels in Arizona State Standards.

You and your family members also can explore various activities to learn curricula that meets state standards on the same website. There are many activities where your child can create and color something including a Yua Paper Doll, Yosemite postcards, directions for making baskets and a paper saddlebag.

If you have a budding chef at home, the Heard Museum also offers recipes for its Courtyard Café online including posole.
