Enjoy programs and events that celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month through Friday, Oct. 15, at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix at 215 N. Seventh St.

The artwork of Gennaro Garcia, which offers a Latino immigrant’s perspective on the world, will be on display. He will lead a class in print making during the museum’s Members-Only Night from 4 to 7 p.m. for museum members only on Oct. 15.

Children will be able to build their own colorful kites similar to those from the Giant Kite Festival in Guatemala Oct. 5 to 10 at the museum during the Guatemalan Barrilettes art studio project. Kids also can create colorful Día de los Muertos skulls in the art studio Oct. 12 to 17. These programs are free of charge with a paid museum admission of $16 per person. Children under age 1 and museum members can participate for free.

Anyone who visits the museum ages 2 and older is required to wear a mask during this COVID-19 pandemic, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated. To learn more, visit https://childrensmuseumofphoenix.org.
