The Midtown Players, the creative arm of the Midtown Neighborhood Association, will present “Lonely Planet” at Artlink Mood Room at Park Central, 3121 N. 3rd Ave., Jan. 23 to Feb. 1. The 90-minute play by Steven Dietz will be presented without intermission at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., depending on the day.
The award-winning play tells of the story of best friends socially trapped in Jody’s map store, as Carl desperately tries to get him to release from his paralysis. Chairs keep arriving, cluttering the store and the audience learns along the way what the chairs represent – the show is haunting, relevant, charming and funny. Midtown Players group says that it is excited to have their first full production on the boards.
Seating is limited and tickets are $15. Learn more at www.midtownphx.org/midtown-players.
