Adopting from a shelter not only gives a pet a second chance, says Arizona Humane Society (AHS), but also helps save even more lives, like sweet Buddy.

Buddy is an adorable one-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix who came to the Arizona Humane Society in October after his owner could unfortunately no longer care for him. Though a bit shy at first, Buddy blossoms with the companionship of other pets and warms up over time, especially if treats are involved.

Friends describe him as a playful pup who loves to fetch and snuggle after a long day of having fun. Of course, Buddy can never say no to a new toy or a new adventure – he especially loves going on walks and field trips to dog-friendly places.

The adoption fee for beautiful Buddy (pet number 801034) includes his neuter surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital.

Visit this handsome pup at the Arizona Humane Society’s South Mountain Campus or learn more at www.azhumane.org/adopt to give him the loving forever home he deserves.
