Surprisingly even more adorable in person than his already adorable photo, Chewy is a 10-year-old Chihuahua looking for his forever home. This sweet senior boy was surrendered to the Arizona Humane Society in October of last year due to his family no longer being able to care for him. Although he has been through so much, Chewy is a resilient spirit with a lot of love to give.
One of the bestest boys there is, this cute little pup rides well in the car, walks beautifully on a leash, is potty trained and loves nothing more than cuddling up in the laps of all his people friends. The perfect mix of energetic and calm, Chewy will remind you that he wants more pets by gently nudging your hand with his head.
In order to help even more pets like sweet Chewy, AHS encourages the community to #WAGLOCAL when considering donating to nonprofit organizations. Many do not realize that when giving to national organizations, such as the Humane Society of the United States, that a vast majority of those donations often do not trickle down to help local causes. The best way to ensure pets in the community receive the funds they need is by donating directly to local nonprofits.
Interested adopters can meet cuddly Chewy (pet #788531) at AHS’ Sunnyslope Campus location. Chewy’s adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital.
