The Arizona Science Center, located at 600 E. Washington St., invites families to explore the exhibition, “The Power of Poison,” now through Aug. 24.

Through live performances and interactive dioramas, this exhibition will take guests into familiar and novel tales of illness, enchantment and death by poison. Learn about the many plants and animals living deep in the Colombian forest that use poison as a vital tool for defense and survival.

Discover how studying poison’s effects on human cells can help scientists figure out how to protect, repair, and heal our own bodies and improve health. Whether used as a defense against predators, a source of magical strength or a lifesaving medical treatment, the Science Center says that “The Power of Poison” is sure to surprise you at every turn.

The exhibit will be open Tuesday-Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025. The exhibition is free with all Arizona Science Center memberships, general admission and all-inclusive tickets. Children under 3 are always free.
