As the temperatures rise, the Valley’s older residents are invited to get out of the heat and enjoy engaging programs and activities with their peers at senior centers across Phoenix.

In the North Central area, residents can visit the Devonshire Senior Center, located at 2802 E. Devonshire Ave. (602-262-7807), or the Sunnyslope Senior Center, located at 802 E. Lunch is served Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. Meal reservations and cancellations must be made at least three business days in advance. Members 60 and older may give a recommended contribution of $2.50 per meal. The cost of a meal for all other is $5.

The city’s senior centers are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Membership gives residents access to all 15 senior centers. The annual membership fee is $20 for Phoenix residents. For general information, call 602-262-4520 or visit www.phoenix.gov and search “Senior Centers.”
