As part of Keep Phoenix Beautiful’s vision to create a vibrant Phoenix where each neighborhood is a healthy, beautiful place to live, the nonprofit will continue its 2025-26 season of I Recycle PHX events Saturday, Jan. 10, at Christown Spectrum Mall, 1603 W. Bethany Home Road. Enter off of Montebello (south of Bethany Home and east of the Target store).

The event will be held from 7 a.m. to noon, and accepted items include gently used adult and children’s bicycles, by Bike Saviours; sensitive documents to be shredded (not shredded onsite), by Friedman Recycling Companies; hard drives, laptops, computer towers, printers, cell phones, flat-screen TVs and monitors, by Full Circle Electronics; and new or gently used furniture, small working appliances, housewares and home improvement supplies, by Habitat for Humanity.

Other items accepted include garden supplies, by Keep Phoenix Beautiful; clean and dried soft plastic bags such as grocery bags, bubble wrap, and Ziplock bags, by Mill/R.City; nonperishable food, kitchenware, hygiene products, toys, books, clothing, shoes, small working household appliances, by Nourish Phoenix; and arts and craft materials, school and office supplies, games, apparel for all ages, DVDs, books, and reusable items, by Treasures 4 Teachers.

Hazardous waste, batteries and light bulbs, CRT monitors/TVs, large appliances and mattresses will not be accepted. Phoenix residents may call 602-262-6251 or visit www.phoenix.gov/hhw for hazardous waste pick up.
