Teens who are looking for ways to conquer the fear of public speaking in a safe and supportive environment are invited to join the Park Central Toastmasters for its eight-week summer student program.
Chartered in 1962, the Park Central club prides itself in being a supportive, fun, trusting, compassionate forum where members can thrive in pursuing their personal growth goals. The club meets every Tuesday, 7-8:15 a.m., at the Family Life Center of the North Phoenix Baptist Church, Central Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Meetings are fast-paced and include formal speeches, impromptu speaking, speech evaluations and other supporting roles.
The initial fee for the program is $20, but this is refunded to upon meeting a commitment to attend at least six meetings. For additional information, email summer@azparkcentral.com or visit www.azparkcentral.com.
