The Edgemont, a new area restaurant that opened in May at 2800 N. Central Ave., offers “American-style fusion food,” according to Bobby Hodge, one of its owners. It specializes in sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken wings and pizza. The Edgemont recently requested a liquor license from the city of Phoenix as it wants to add beer, wine and cocktails to its menu. It is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays but plans to stay open until 7 p.m. if the liquor license is approved.

The eatery’s variety of sandwiches includes a Smokey Joe, which has mesquite smoked turkey breast, hardwood smoked bacon, smoked gouda, roasted garlic aioli and Dijon mustard, along with several vegetables on extra thick sourdough. One of its pizzas is Encanto Avocado, which has fresh sliced avocado, strawberry balsamic reduction, artichoke, fresh tomato, basil, olives, oregano, mozzarella cheese and other ingredients.

The Edgemont is open for limited seating in-person and for take-out/phone-in orders. To learn more, visit theedgemont.com.
