GateWay Community College announced the launch of a new Professional Dog Grooming Program, developed in partnership with Groom Curriculum. This hands-on, career-focused program is designed for Phoenix-area individuals seeking to enter the field of pet grooming.

The curriculum offers training in safe and humane animal handling, canine anatomy and breed identification, grooming equipment usage and sanitation protocols, techniques for grooming puppies, senior dogs, and dogs of various coat types, real-world experience in professional grooming environments and preparation for an industry-recognized credential

Students will also receive a professional student grooming kit valued at $1,000, along with a textbook, included in the total program cost of $4,500.
