Thanks to Diversified Roofing, eight girls recently got to take part in an educational camp that taught them about a number of different construction-related trades and industries.
The 2025 “Let’s Build Construction Camp for Girls” took place from June 23-27. Girls aged 13-18 were encouraged to sign up for the free camp, which gave them the chance to experience and explore the construction trades through hands-on learning and building.
Participants worked in a supportive team environment to build a mock structure that included carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing and finishes. In addition to learning about architecture, engineering and manufacturing during the construction process, the campers also enjoyed taking related field trips to area businesses.
