Desert Christian Fellowship invites residents to its Traditional Worship Service with Hymns, which begins at 9 a.m. Sunday mornings, followed by a Bible Study designed for people looking for a line-by-line Bible study and a deeper dive into the scriptures, at 10 a.m. Contemporary worship is held at 10:30 a.m., and a children’s bible program is also available.
In addition to other free events scheduled this month, the church will host a free senior potluck on Thursday, Jan. 8, at noon. The Wildlife World Zoo will be bringing “Creatures of the Night” for an up close, and personal introduction to strange animals from around the world. Bring your favorite dish to share, meet new people and have fun.
The church is located at 1445 W. Northern Ave. For those who live within a 2-mile radius of the church, a bus (with a wheelchair lift) and van service can shuttle residents to and from the church. When you visit, let the greeters know you read about it in the North Central News, and receive a special welcome gift.
