
“Going Attractions: The Definitive Story of the Movie Palace” will screen at the Orpheum Theatre as part of the 2026 Arizona Architectural Film Showcase (submitted photo).
The 2026 Arizona Architectural Film Showcase, a curated annual showcase of independent architectural documentaries, screened in venues defined by restoration, adaptive reuse, and design excellence, returns for three screenings in April.
Presented by No Festival Required Independent Cinema, film screenings include “Ancestral Artistry: The Influence of Africans and Creoles of Color on Louisiana Architecture” (April 16 at Third Street Theater, Phoenix Center for the Arts); “Remembering the Future with Herb Greene” – work in progress (April 18 at The Pavilion at Taliesin West); and “Going Attractions: The Definitive Story of the Movie Palace” (April 21 at Orpheum Theatre).
