Mary Coyle ‘Ol Fashion Ice Cream Parlor is honoring all military personnel, active or retired, through July 31 by offering them a complimentary two-dip “Pippen” sundae by simply showing their military identification.

“As we look forward to the most patriotic of holidays celebrated in America, July 4th, the timing for this special offer to our military seemed apropos,” said owner Mike Stoffey. “America’s military men and women have shown honor, fortitude, dignity and pride in our country. We could never repay them for their service but we can show our pride in them and pick up the tab for an ice cream treat.”

Mary Coyle also will offer a patriotic-themed, three-scoop ice cream sundae for a short time to celebrate America’s Independence. Strawberry, vanilla and blueberry ice creams will be paired together to scoop the ultimate red, white and blue confection. This specialty will be available Tuesday, July 2, through Sunday, July 7, only.

Mary Coyle also has announced that “Cookie Dough” ice cream will remain on the restaurant menu. This “flavor of the month” for both April and May has become the most popular specialty flavor ever to be served, earning it a permanent position among the offerings featured at the iconic spot.

Mary Coyle homemade ice cream can be purchased at the restaurant by the scoop, quart or gallon.

Mary Coyle is open Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Closed Monday. Eat-in or drive-through at 5521 North 7th Ave. For details call 602.265.6266 or visit www.marycoyle.net.
