Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture (PIHMA), College & Clinic will offer community movement classes this fall at its facility at 301 E. Bethany Home Rd., Ste. A-230.

Acu-Yoga and QiGong classes are taught by Certified QiGong Instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher, Kat Myers. Classes are ongoing through Dec. 20.

The refined and healing practice of Acu-Yoga, a blending of yoga, acupressure, QiGong, foot fitness, sound and centering, will strengthen bones, nourish joints and move qi.

QiGong focuses on the philosophy of aligning breath, physical activity and awareness for mental, spiritual and corporeal health. Combined with gentle stretching, those who attend the QiGong class will unwind, center and relax.

Acu-Yoga classes are offered Mondays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for $10, and QiGong classes are offered Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for a donation applied toward local Arizona charities. Both classes take place in Classroom E. These classes are open to the public and taught to all levels.
