Duet offers a free Back to School Ice Cream Social for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren or other juvenile family members, 12-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Church of the Beatitudes, 555 W. Glendale Ave.
Escape from the heat and dip into some cold ice cream in the company of friends while being entertained by the “Mad Scientist,” a show on the principles of air and pressure with “Up, Up, and Away!”
