The Sunnyslope Art Walk returns 5-9 p.m. Saturday, April 12, under new management by Artisan Markets, which has been producing art-related events in Arizona for more than six years.

Since its inception in 2008, more than 100 artists have shown and sold their original work at this twice-a-year event, ranging from painting to photography, jewelry to wearable art, woodworking to creative crafts, at various locations along Central Avenue from Dunlap south toward the canal.

Visitors also can enjoy live local music and food and drink from a variety of restaurants and fast-food providers along the route. Several food trucks also will be on hand this year.

The entertainment lineup includes music from The Upper Strata, Central Divides, Art Stream, Refugees from the ’60s, Retro 2 and Jeremiah Craig.

The Sunnyslope Art Walk is free to the public. Parking is available at MarketPlace at Central (115 E. Dunlap Ave.), Sunnyslope High School (35 W. Dunlap Ave.) and John C. Lincoln North Mountain’s Cowden Center (9202 N 2nd St.). Shuttle service will be provided from the Cowden Center.
