Roosevelt Row will ignite the fall season with a heat explosion of epic “pepp-ortions” with the 3rd Annual Roosevelt Row Chile Pepper Festival, set for 5-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. Experience some spicy local flavors featuring 24 of the best restaurants in the area.
Admission is free to guests that RSVP on the website prior to the event. The location this year is at the Phoenix Public Market, 721 N. Central Ave.
Local Phoenix restaurants will compete in the Chile Pepper Challenge, a showdown for the title of the most delicious chile pepper cuisine, including a new “Sweet & Spicy” category for chile pepper desserts. Winners of the Chile Pepper Challenge and crowning of this year’s Chile Pepper Queen will be announced at the finale of the event.
The event also features on-site chile roasting, chef spotlights, kids crafts, live music, Deschutes Beer Garden, 3 Amigos Margarita Garden and extra spice with a local talent show hosted by Lawn Gnome Publishing.
Proceeds from the festival support the Growhouse urban agriculture and educational opportunities to local teens and community members.
