The Governor’s Office has awarded the city of Phoenix Human Services Department a $122,000 grant to enhance its Phoenix Teen Violence Prevention (PTVP) program.

The Juvenile Accountability Block Grant will be used to provide domestic/dating violence education through community-based programs and in high schools. The grant runs through Dec. 31 and will provide funds for the instruction of an evidence-based curriculum that is in line with common core standards.
