Puff & Fluff Grooming & Pet Sitting is organizing a few fun, canine-friendly events throughout the Valley this month, including a Dog-Friendly Happy Hour, 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at 32 Shea, 10626 N 32nd St. This informal, un-hosted gathering on the patio is just for fun, laughs, great food, drinks, and say goodbye to the dog days of summer. There will be raffle items with all of the proceeds being donated to RESCUE.

Next up is “Doga,” or yoga with your four-legged friend, 5-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 on the patio at Richardson’s, 6335 N. 16th St. Doga keeps many of the traditional yoga poses and incorporates your four-legged friend. The practice focuses on stretching, meditation, and dog massage. Performing the poses with your pup can not only be soothing, but also provide a great bonding experience. Get fit with your pup and enjoy meeting other pet owners, as well as socializing your dog with other friendly pets.

Bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket for the class. A voluntary donation to RESCUE will be collected from each participant.

Wrap up the month with tricks and treats at the Third Annual Halloween Costume Contest, 3-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at Puff & Fluff, 5835 N. 16th St., Suites D and E. If your ghoul has a costume, dress them up, or just show up for treats. The Puff & Fluff staff will pick the most creative pet costume of the evening. The winner will receive a free service with Puff & Fluff. Entrance fee is a voluntary donation to RESCUE.
