Learn about the Vespa and what made it cool during a free lecture at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 N. Central Ave.

The guest speaker is Bob Golfen, author of “How to Restore and Maintain your Vespa Motor Scooter.” During Italy’s post-war reconstruction, the Vespa became a stylish vehicle for the mass market and now lives on as the symbol of a generation. The free event is part of the museum’s Salon Series: The best of Italy.

See the exhibitions, “The White Shirt According to Me: Gianfranco Ferre” and “Michelangelo: Sacred and Profane” with reduced admission of $5 Adults and $3 youth on the night of the lecture. For more information, visit www.phxart.org.
