Thirteenorth Bar & Grille, the neighborhood restaurant located at 1301 E. Northern Ave., is celebrating its fifth year in business this month. But that’s only one of the special events planned for February.

Things kick off on Feb. 7 with Super Sunday. The restaurant has expanded its carryout and catering services just in time to help you get your foodie on for the big game.

The anniversary celebration stays in high gear with Valentine’s weekend. Thirteenorth’s Fifth Anniversary Celebration is Saturday, Feb. 13 and Valentine’s Day is Sunday. Saturday’s anniversary party starts early—8:30 a.m.—combining its fifth anniversary with 13th of the month specials and weekend breakfast. The party continues on Valentine’s Day in a more intimate fashion with menu items just for the occasion.

The new Guest Chef Invitational launches on Feb. 28 with Amy Aguirie directing the preparation and serving of her favorite recipe, red chile seafood Vera Cruz enchiladas. Thirteenorth will donate 30 percent of the proceeds for each dish served to Aguirie’s favorite neighborhood charity, the Arizona Humane Society.

“This is an idea I’ve been wanting to try for years,” says Thirteenorth owner Rob Dukes. “It’s going to be a fun, eye-opening experience for our guest chefs, and the proceeds will go to worthy causes.”
